Accomplishments: Educator with the Indian Lake schools for more than 30 years as a business teacher, principal and as the superintendent/principal. “I hope that I made a positive impression on my students. I always tried to encourage students to make the Adirondacks their home. We need young folks to remain in our communities.” Member of the Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Moonlighters Snowmobile Club and the Hanmerbrook Association Hunting Club.
Favorite Adirondack adventures/outings: I truly enjoy everything about the Adirondacks. I hunt, fish and tour by snowmobile and boat (motorized and by my own power). My family
has been co-owners of a camp on Lows Lake, where we enjoy every minute we are there.
Favorite view: Long Lake Town Beach looking down the lake at the Seward Range.
Why I love the Adirondacks: The people are awesome. Everyone looks out for each other.
Memorable outdoor experience: Being with my family enjoying the outdoors. We raised our son Andrew in Long Lake and he graduated from Long Lake Central School. He and his wife Kathryne have two wonderful sons, Harvey and Hudson, and I hope that our grandsons will be able to enjoy the treasures of the Adirondacks.

If I were in charge of the park: I would try to figure out a way to manage the Park’s natural beauty while enhancing the economy. There can’t be one without the other and continue for all to enjoy.
Correction: Original headline had “Long Lake superintendent.”
