Protect the Adirondacks has submitted a lengthy reply brief in its lawsuit against the Adirondack Club and Resort in Tupper Lake. Protect is responding to the claims of the Adirondack Park Agency in its answer to the suit.
Among other things, Protect contends the project violates regulations for lands classified as Resource Management, the APA’s strictest zoning category for private property.
Protect also reasserts that the APA staff conducted illegal negotiations with the developers and that the agency approved the project without requiring a wildlife study beforehand.

The court is the final test. If no shortcuts were taken or rules trampled, the ARC has nothing to worry about.
While we in america like to bash the courts, this is exactly what they were designed to do. May the best group win…
I guess we now know how all the draft permit conditons proposed by the APA got changed at the last minute before the commisioners voted.
That evil APA they must be dissolved.
I say that in jest. I have never seen people who would normally support this agency turn so rapidly.
Personally, I can’t understand why it’s necessary to take something like this to court.
Can’t it be solved in a better way? For example by meeting and talking things over?
Taking things to court should be the last resort (no pun intended…)
