Using the screenshot, Forest Rangers Pries and Scott met ECO Rockefeller and ECO Jacob Clark and pinpointed the lost hunter's exact location. The officers found the 48-year-old hunter one-quarter mile off the trail and assisted him back to his vehicle.

DEC's Ray Brook Dispatch received a call from a man concerned he had not heard from his ex-wife who was late for an appointment. He last spoke to her at 2 p.m., as she was leaving to hike an approximately 12-mile section of the Northville-Placid Trail between Benson and Northville.

The hikers had climbed down to see the waterfall at Hanging Spear Falls and could not get back out.
