Resort expansion in Ticonderoga

The proposal expands the existing campground more than 25%, according to a description on the APA’s website. The campground currently has 70 campsites, each with a fire ring and picnic table, according to its website.
The expansion proposal is out for public comment until March 4.
More solar power
Ticonderoga could also be the home to a new 5-megawatt solar energy installation.
Pivot Energy, a Denver-based community solar company, has submitted an application to the APA to install a facility on Route 74. If authorized, it will be located on 43 acres of an existing commerce park.

Cell tower
Another Verizon Wireless cell tower proposal is before the APA after the board approved one in Hamilton County earlier this month.
The proposed tower would go up on Freight House Road in the Town of Corinth on land classified as rural use. The tower would be 100 feet tall and would “support cellular antennas at the 96-foot centerline height, with association equipment,” according to the APA project description. To maintain and access the tower, the application also proposes to construct a 573-foot-long drive.
The proposal is out for comment until March 11.
Subdivision
Applicants Jerry and Janet Stipp are proposing a four-lot subdivision project on both low intensity and rural use parcels in the Town of Keene. The property is in the area of State Route 73 and Nordic Run Way.

The project description states the Stipps want to separate the lots for one to contain an existing store, another to contain an existing single-family dwelling and guest cottage, one to be a potential building lot and the fourth lot to be a non-building lot. The non-building lot is the largest at about 43 acres, while the store lot is the smallest at about 4 acres.
Public comments will be received until March 11.
