Duck Count Region 7-Adirondacks

The final count of Ducks in Region 7 was quite impressive with most of them being on Lake Champlain, Snow Goose 3, Canada Goose 188, Am. Black Duck 92, Mallard Duck 873, Redhead 17, Ring-necked Duck 23, Lesser scaup 2, Mixed Lesser and Greater Scaup 1,300, Bufflehead 169, Common Goldeneye 6,595, Barrow’s Goldeneye 5, Hooded Merganser 20, Common Merganser 1,234, Red-breasted Merganser 3, Red-throated Loon 1, Common Loon 6, Pied-billed Grebe 2, Horned Grebe 30, Double-crested Cormorant 14 for a total of 10,077 birds. The parties also saw three Bald Eagles, hundreds of Ring-billed Gulls, several Herring Gulls and several Greater Black-backed Gulls.

G’day
It’s hard to even have some free time to surf the cyber world this era with this economy going on up and down and all around, I was wondering if I should go to get some money on credit but the banks are not so easy with small companies this days. Anyhow, with all this usual troubles that lead to anything good at least I came across an intresting blog.
I was studying concrete, beams, construction topics mainly and I came across this beauty of yours. Some intellectual accomplishment until I finish my work

Bio: Gary Lee is a passionate birder and naturalist who worked as a New York State forest ranger for thirty-five years, mostly in the Moose River Plains and West Canada Lakes Wilderness. With John M.C. Peterson, he coauthored Adirondack Birding: 60 Great Places to Find Birds, distributed by the Adirondack Mountain Club. He has written a weekly newspaper column, often focusing on birds and other wildlife, since 1986, first for the Adirondack Express, later for Adirondack Weekly. His photographs of birds have appeared in the Adirondack Explorer and other publications. Gary is a graduate of the New York State Ranger School in Wanakena. He lives in Inlet with his wife, Karen. They have three children and four grandchildren.
